Best Hybrid Bike for the money and a lot more ! February 20, 2008 Reviewer:  Phil Rocks "djphilrocks.com" (Weston, FL)  See all my reviews >

My wife and 18 year old daughter went looking for a new Hybrid road bike and came back with prices in the $500 - $700 range which I thought was too much. I went online and started my research on just what a "Hybrid" bike is and armed with this knowledge Googled 700c rim size which is the road bike standard. I came across the Schwinn 700c Trail Way Hybrid. I remembered Schwinn from my younger days as a good quality bike.

This bike is unbelievable and has incredible value for this price range ($200). The sleek racing style Alloy rims and paired spokes are worth the money and when you add in the Shimano TX-30 rear derailleur, Shimano, 21-speed easy-fire shifters, front fork and seat suspension it gets even better.

This is a great entry to medium level Hybrid bike for anyone who is getting serious about riding but doesn’t want to shell out half a grand or more to get started.

It's going back June 6, 2007 Reviewer:  Another Mom (Michigan)  See all my reviews >

It seemed like a great bike until I found out the handle bars can't be adjusted.

The manufacturer says: "Your bike is equipped with a threadless steerer tube and stem, which means you cannot simply loosen a bolt to raise the bars. In fact, trying to do so will unload the headset bearings and can make the bike unsafe to ride. Instead, you'll need a part like a riser stem or threadless steerer-extender, either of which is available through a local bike shop. Since raising the bars more than a small amount can necessitate longer cables and housing as well, you'll probably want a bike shop mechanic to handle the installation as well." So rather than shell out lots more money to fix this, I'll just return the bike and purchase a different brand.

Nice, can't keep it September 29, 2007 Reviewer:  Beachbum, Indian Rocks Beach, FL See all my reviews >

It's a nice bike. Love the wheels, and the height. My husband and I each bought one. Unfortunately, they have to go back because the handlebars do not adjust in height.

Nice Ride July 14, 2007 Reviewer:  On the road again See all my reviews >

I like the smoothness of the ride and the comfortable padded seat. You can adjust the handle bar by loosening the hex bolt on the side and underneath the bar. The gears are positioned right at your grip making it very easy to shift in and out of gear as needed. The bike has a rich look and feel and I think a good price. I'm turning 53 this year and decided to do activities I once loved instead of going to a gym. And I'm back on the Road again, loving my Schwinn, after a 20yr absence.. Hey I made a rhyme! Tee hee.

Fun! June 30, 2008 Reviewer:  JN "JN" (Denver CO)  See all my reviews >

I feel like a little kid now that I have a bike again! I bought this bike in order to ride to work and run errands around the city, but find I've been taking if for exercise rides as well. I read the reviews before purchasing and feared the non-adjustable handles might be a problem, but I'm such a shrimp (5'4") that I found I didn't need to adjust them. For those of you who think this might be a problem, take a look at the bike in the store. I realized that the handles ARE adjustable, but just not in the typical fashion. Instead of raising them at the post, they angle up and down at a joint just forward of the post. So far, I haven't had any trouble with this bike and am so excited to have it!

Tri this Bike August 5, 2008 Reviewer:  K. Steele Real Name (Minneapolis, MN)  See all my reviews >

I recently got this bike because I was participating in a triathlon and needed something that was a smaller and more lightweight than what I currently owned. I rode it once and then got so busy that the next time I hopped on it was for the triathlon. It worked GREAT! The gears shifted easily and it was such an easy ride. I now ride it for fun way more than what I did before and am getting ready for the next triathlon.

great bike and the best price! May 24, 2009 Reviewer:  Gabtoups "GabbyTea" (lalaland)  See all my reviews >

i went to prefeshional bicycle stores and even the expensive price bikes werent this cool. it is a great smooth ride and the skinny road tires gives you a nice smooth/fast ride but the rigid mountain bike texure adds ease for your riding experience. also the handle bars put you in a good relaaxed position. gears work great and i know sometimes kick-stands can be an issue but not on this bike! really any size can ride this bike,i let my little cousin ride it and she is only 4'9 and im 5'3. also target was a good help they let me ride it around the store to get the full "bike ride before buy" deal. oh and the best part its only a little less expensive!

Great bike except if you get a flat September 9, 2008 Reviewer:  SwimBikeRun (Wake Forest, NC)  See all my reviews >

I got this bike because I wanted something I could ride mainly with my kids but also to do the occasional triathlon. I went on my second 10 mile bike ride and got a flat. I was able to patch the tube but I wanted to put in a new tube before the triathlon and to have a spare. I went to several Targets, Target online, online shops and a couple good bike shops and none of them carried the tubes for this bike because it has a longer valve than the regular inner tube due to the shape of the rim. I called Target to see if they would allow me to return the bike since I couldn't seem to find a spare inner tube anywhere and they said that was not an option. I was not happy at all so I then read the reviews for the men's version of this bike and someone called the manufacturer. I called them and you have to order the inner tubes from them. Supposedly these inner tubes are on their way to the stores but not anytime soon. You might want to call the manufacturer and stock up now just in case you get a flat soon.

AWESOME BIKE...I LOVE IT! June 1, 2009 Reviewer:  C. M. Kennedy "new biker" Real Name (Missouri)  See all my reviews >

I hadn't rode a bike in 7 years, bought this bike and I'm in love with it! I took this bike thru trials in the woods and along the streets of the park, and couldn't be happier with the performance. I was very impressed with this bike. Well worth the money!

Just an Average Teen Bicyclist :] March 28, 2009 Reviewer:  PaleStrawberry91 See all my reviews >

I'm 17 years old and I love to bike ride! I went from using a squeaky peice of junk to this. It's a smooth ride, great for streets and smooth paths. I haven't had any problems with it so far, and I've had it for a year! :]
